Fort Langley

It's already two weeks since we arrived in Vancouver and to do something other than flat/job hunting, we decided to go to Fort Langley on Sunday afternoon (which was baking hot - in the high 30s). Fort Langley is the province's historical town - it was established by the Hudson's Bay Company in the 1820s, making it the oldest settlement in British Columbia. In the old fort itself (now a living museum) the oldest building still standing is a storehouse built in 1842. At the fort we saw a musket demonstration and Guillaume got to hold the gun afterwards.

There was also some sort of classic car rally going on at the British Columbia Farm Museum (yes, really), so there were lots of Model T Fords. They seem to like old cars in Fort Langley we saw quite a few old Mustangs that Guillaume liked and a Cadillac.
