O, Canada!

As we caught the first glimpse of our new home from the aeroplane window, we both thought how beautiful it was with the Rocky Mountains. At the moment we're doing all the touristy stuff and getting to know the city but soon we will actually have to get on with real life again... *sigh*

So far, Vancouver has been living up to its promise of having a climate just like London - it's grey and a bit chilly here - standard for a bank holiday weekend. We've been to Granville Island, which has a food market a bit like Borough Market in London, we've been to Sunset Beach, we've wandered around the nice and not-so-nice areas of Downtown Vancouver and we've even seen a skunk.

Thoughts of the day: is that it?
