A Singapore Fling - Un break bienvenue - Day 1

Départ pour Singapour!

Avant d'entrer dans l'avion, j'étais tout excité de monter pour la 1ère fois dans un A380 et en plus avec Singapore Airlines, mais nous avons vite déchanté... Une nuit blanche et zéro service font un vol horrible. Très déçu de Singapore Airlines, ils ont prétexté 3 fois qu'il y avait des turbulences donc il ne pouvait servir personne... J'espère que notre vol Tokyo - Brisbane se passera mieux sinon ça va être long...

Arrivé à 6h du matin, la ville est très calme, pas de klaxons et personnes ne nous harcèlent pour un Taxi/tuk tuk cela fait du bien. Nous laissons nos affaires dans le quartier Lavender et nous marchons jusqu'à Marina Bay qui est le symbole de Singapour (après le lion) avec l’hôtel en forme de bateau et les palmiers (?) artificielles en traversant Arab Street. Nous passons l'après midi dans les jardins botaniques de Marina Bay, c'est magnifique même si nous dormons debout, nous finissons donc par trouvé un coin d'herbe et nous faisons notre sieste. Nous rentrons par Little India pour trouver à manger.

Off to Singapore!

Before boarding the plane Guillaume was really excited (...) because he was going on an Airbus A380 for the first time, and because we were flying with Singapore Airlines, which a friend told us was amazing, but we were quickly disenchanted. A night without sleep and without any service (no drinks, no snacks, nothing for breakfast... supposedly due to turbulence but if there was any we couldn't feel it) made it into a horrid flight. Let's hope they do better on our Tokyo-Brisbane flight.

When we arrived at 6 am the city was very quiet - no traffic, nobody asking us if we wanted a tuk tuk or a taxi - ahhh. We left our bags at the hotel and walked to Marina Bay, which has the hotel in the shape of a boat - a famous Singapore landmark. We spent the afternoon in the Gardens by the Bay, which has biospheres like the Eden Project, and is magnificent, even if we were asleep on our feet (see photo above). Towards the end of the afternoon we found a quietish area of the park and had a nap on the grass before going to Little India for some food.
