Tainan

Tainan l'ancienne capitale et la plus ancienne ville de Taiwan avec de multiple temples. Nous prenons le train grande vitesse (THSR) et nous y arrivons en moins de 2h. Le train est très spacieux, propre, confortable et pas trop cher (37euros 2 jours avant)

Nous logeons dans une très belle maison trouvé sur AirBnb, par chance nous sommes les seuls dedans. 

Nous commençons par le quartier Anping en visitant un temple, le fort construit par la Compagnie néerlandaise des Indes orientales et l'ancienne maison d'un marchant anglais ensevelie par les arbres. Puis nous prenons le bus pour aller dans le centre et faire le tour des principaux temples.

Tainan is the former capital of Taiwan and its oldest city with lots of temples. We took the high speed train and arrived in under two hours - the train was great - clean, lots of space, comfortable and not too expensive.

We stayed in an amazing house we found on Air BnB and we happened to be the only guests. After dumping our bags we started sightseeing by walking into the Anping district, which used to be Taiwan's main port. We visited a temple dedicated to Matsu (the goddess of Taiwan), the fort built by the Dutch East India Company when they first set up a trading post there and a house once owned by British merchants now invaded by Banyan trees. Afterwards we went into the city centre to visit some of the major temples.
