Nous arrivons dimanche matin sur Brisbane, cette fois ci les vols (Tokyo-(6h de vol)-Singapour-(7h)-Brisbane) se sont bien passés avec Singapore Airlines.
Nous visitons Brisbane l'après midi dont le jardin botanique et la baie sud où il y a un concert. Nous montons en haut de l'horloge de la ville.
Le lendemain, après une visite chez le docteur, nous nous dirigeons vers Hervey Bay en s'arrêtant à la cascade de Kondalilla. La nuit tombe vite et nous n'avons pas le temps de voir autre chose.
Mardi nous embarquons sur un tour pour visiter Fraser Island qui est la plus grande île de sable du monde et le seul endroit où la forêt tropicale pousse sur du sable. Le tour était un peu rapide mais nous pouvons nous baigner dans le lac McKenzie avec une eau translucide (de pluie) et du sable blanc. Nous voyons un Dingo et 3 kangourous sur le chemin du retour.
Mercredi, retour sur Brisbane (encore 4h de route) pour faire une échographie et nous embarquons pour Cairns au Nord Est le soir.
We arrived on Sunday morning in Brisbane, this time the flights (Tokyo-Singapore-Brisbane) with Singapore Airlines went much better.
We visited Brisbane in the afternoon, including the botanic gardens and the south bay where there was a 'jam session'. We even went to the top of the city hall clock tower in the oldest mechanical lift in Australia.
The next day, after a visit to the doctor, we set off for Hervey Bay stopping at Kondalilla Falls on the way. Night fell quickly and we didn't have time to see anything else.
On Tuesday we took a tour of Fraser Island which is the biggest sand island in the world and the only place where rainforest grows on the sand. The tour was a bit quick, but we had time to swim in Lake Mackenzie (filled with rainwater), which was beautifully clear with white sand. On the way back we saw a dingo and three kangaroos!
On Wednesday we returned to Brisbane (another four-hour drive for Guillaume...) to have our 20-week scan and then caught a plane to Cairns in the north east in the evening.
