Kyoto

Heureusement nous nous levons aujourd'hui avec un ciel bleu, nous commençons donc avec le temple doré (Kinkaku-ji). Il y avait du monde mais cela reste impressionnant et le jardin qui l'entoure est très jolie. Ensuite nous montons au temple Kiyomizu-dera qui a une très belle vue sur Kyoto. Puis nous attrapons un train pour aller à Inari-Fushimi qui est un lieu de pèlerinage consacré aux dieux du vin et du saké, la route qui va au mont Inari est entourée de milliers de Torii rouge. Nous allons jusqu'en haut ce qui permet d'éviter les touristes.
Le soir je rejoins Cyrille sur Osaka pour une soirée sympathique (à part le karaoké) pendant que Helen profite d'un repos bien mérité.

Thankfully we woke up to a bright, sunny day on Friday and set about visiting some temples. We started off at the Kinkaku-ji - the Golden Pavillion. Despite the heaving crowds, it was still impressive and the gardens that surround the gold-covered temple are beautiful too. Next we went to the Kiyomizu-dera temple which is on the mountainside overlooking Kyoto and has some great views (but still too many tourists). Our last stop of the day was Inari-Fushimi, which is a shrine at the top of Mt Inari to the gods of wine and sake. The route to the top is lined with thousands of vermillion torii, which is amazing, especially once you get up the mountain a bit and most of the tourists have given up. In the evening Guillaume went to Osaka to see his friends and I went to sleep...
